I’m going to spend 3 days in Santa Barbara, and another 3 days in Morro Bay.

So that means no tumblr or RPing for 6 days.. Good Lord, how will I survive?

Anywhosers, I’m also going to be visiting Hearst Castle. I shall ask questions about Hearst and how he managed to pay for everything (by robbing the working poor children of New York City and wherever his other businesses were).

I don’t like the confessions. It seems like a source to put people down and not make them seem welcome. I know you all mean well, but too many times I’ve seen people discouraged and upset because of these negative feelings, and for a roleplay I don’t think that’s fair. You should be able to also hype up your character with your roleplay and not through confessions. —anon

I think this anon serves a valid opinion. We don’t have to do away with the confessions blog but I think there should be some restrictions on which ones are allowed to be posted. There is a difference between constructive criticism and being straight up cruel. What do you all think? 

Deffo agree with this. There’s been way too many negative confessions about characters.

Here’s some issues that need to be cleared up:

1. Disturbing Anon Messages

I have just finished working and caught on with what’s been happening tonight. There have been some disturbing and shocking anon messages going around. Whoever you are, please stop. There are not only young role players just starting out with this game, but the subject matter may trigger anxiety to some people seeing this in their inbox. This RPG is meant to be fun in a PG/PG-13 matter. If any of you would like to dwell on a certain type of story line, please create an actual character and message the characters privately to collaborate with in advance. Going on anon and sending creepy messages like that is inappropriate and disturbing.

2. Appropriate Use Of Tags

For anything that has to do with this RPG, please DO NOT use the #newsies tag. We have created the #tnrpg tag for a reason and it is to keep anything RPG related out of the actual newsies tag. It is only allowed to be used if you are advertising the TNRPG. Period. It should not be about the confessions blog, what’s going on with your characters, or anything that has to do with what’s going on in this RPG.

I hope you understand why this has to be done. The reality is that newsies fans that are not participating on this RPG do not and will not care about what’s going on with your characters, whether canon or OC. They don’t know what’s going on in this RPG and just simply don’t care. Only the people in the TNRPG should be the only ones to access that information. If you have a problem with this, we can discuss this privately. However, I am making this a solid rule. I just don’t want people that are not a part of this RPG to message me complaining about this anymore.

Whoever is posting that stuff to my tnrpg blog, that was not cool. At all.

It made me extremely uncomfortable, and I’m betting it made others who saw it on their dash uncomfortable, too. There are younger kids who RP, and doing that was really inconsiderate and just plain wrong.

Please, if you’re reading this, don’t do that again.
